Nozawa - 2002

A Japanese owned mom and pop place. When I was craving Japanese food but didn't want to make the trek to Little J-Town and didn't want to spend too much, Nozawa was the spot. The beef and chicken teriyaki with mixed temupura were served on gigantic plates along with miso soup.Scrumptious. They had manga for you to leaf through as you ate your meal. The place also rented out Japanese movies!

I speculate the owners of the restaurant decided to sell their establishment for alot of money. More power to them, but the community of North Hollywood became all the more poorer.

DeFranko's 2002

Time to get away from the commercial in favor of the mom & pops. The difference to me is it tastes better.

Pho 999 - 2002

I wouldn't rank this as one of the top pho places, but since there aren't too many pho places in the valley...what else can I do if I'm too lazy to make a trek to Woodland Hills for an alternative?
